Dr. Spitalieri specializes in brain tumors and all spinal surgeries in adults and pediatric Scoliosis surgeries. |

He maintains active affiliation with the Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and the Surfers Medical Association. He is also a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association. He is a former Shop Steward for the Teamsters, Local 676 in New Jersey, his home state. |

He has been practicing medicine for 20 years and opened his own practice this past October. |

He earned his Medical Degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Residency in Neurosurgery at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, California, Kaiser Permanente in Fontana and Riverside County Medical Center Hospital . He then completed his Fellowship in Adult Spine at Cooper Hospital in Camden, New Jersey and another Fellowship in Pediatric spine surgery at Shriners Hospital in Philadelphia. He also completed a Fellowship at Cooper Hospital in Neurosurgery - Trauma. |

He knew at the young age of 7 that he wanted to pursue a career in Neurosurgery after discovering his fathers fascinating anatomy textbooks. He is a highly educated and extremely skilled Neurosurgeon who believes in repairing before replacing. |

He is the recipient of the Healthcare Hero award. This was given to him for his response to an emergency situation in North Carolina where he saved a 1 year old. He is also the recipient of the AOA award for completing over 200 CME credits in a single licensing cycle. |
